Ariel 1951-1953 Rear #43-3

The Ariel rear mudguards from 1935 to 1958 maintained a similar profile with variations in lengths and stay configuration. Most in this period were two piece allowing for rear wheel removal.  The 1951-53 plunger and rigid models wore this one piece guard which pivoted at the saddle spring mounts.  The finished width is 147mm and is reduced at the nose end for chainguard clearance. Mounting tabs are welded as are tail light wiring tabs on the inside.  The tail end is slightly duckbilled and has the rib flared out to blend with the rolled tail.
Note 1: The shaping of the moustache-like tail end is done by hand and will vary from one sample to another.
Note 2: We have seen three different grab handles so far with bolt hole centres at 125, 155 and 195mm. Please specify which handle you will be using.
