BSA 1936 J11 Rear #48-3
/ Michael RockBSA J11 V-Twin Rear mudguard (fender) by Vintage Steel
This deep D Section rear mudguard is very difficult to roll in one piece without distortion. It was used by BSA (and Triumph with a different centre rib) in the late 1930’s. This 6” wide guard has a centre rib with 5 separate pressings to flatten it for various fixings. It has two riveted brackets and a riveted hinge at the two-piece step-down join. There are also internal stiffeners supplied (4 pieces) which bolt in at each mounting point. The nose end also has a deep pressing for chainguard clearance on the left side.
The Empire Star model Q8 used the same mudguard with the addition of a deep gearbox adjuster pressing on the right side and is our #48BSARF-5 (not pictured)
